Jumping for 10 minutes at a stretch and combining with other similar exercises for a 30 minute session per day is enough to elicit a good response from the endocrine system in releasing growth hormones. Apart from jumping straight up and down on both legs, here is one more routine that you can perform with the jump rope. It is called the fling. Jump over the rope and land on the left foot, and touch the right one to the floor 12 inches behind. Jump and land on the left foot again, and touch the right one to the floor 12 inches to the right. Jump and land on the left foot again, and touch the right one to the floor 12 inches in front. Now repeat the procedure reversing your feet. Continue the cycle for up to 10 minutes.
