Is The LPN Training Worth The Effort
Posted on February 3rd, 2010 byAnyone thinking of enrolling on an LPN training course should be considering whether the job market for LPNs post qualification is good enough to justify the effort and expense. Fortunately the answer to this question is an emphatic yes. The reason for this is that LPN is seen as a great substitute for RN’s in healthcare teams, undertaking some of the less medically complex activities such as taking medical histories, or assessing blood pressure or even something as simple as helping a patient to dress. RN’s are becoming an increasingly scarce resource and so an effective use of LPN’s is a necessity and at the same time due to the training and qualification requirements does not adversely impact patient outcomes.
So, in summary, the prospective LPN candidate need have no concerns. There are plenty of LPN jobs out there simply waiting to be filled. LPN qualification is relatively short and therefore relatively inexpensive and with the advent of online training programs accessible to a wider section of society than ever before.
