Writing for Money Techniques

Posted on January 28th, 2010 by

Some writers begin their careers by consulting, which is a nice way of indicating
they write for clients. This can be money-making if you write well
and know what to bill for your services. But it is also
time-consuming, since it’s often done on an hourly-rate basis and each
task can take quite a few hours. An additional problem is that you can not
take a break for too long if you want to always keep money coming in.
That creates loads of pressure if you’re one of those folks who likes
to eat regularly.

OK, so precisely what
do you have to be aware of when writing for money, if you don’t want to work for customers? Well, it can’t be summarized in just one
single article, but it starts with getting a grip on the basics of
keyword research. So, if it is your aim to make income by publishing, donâ??t even begin unless you have carefully
investigated the keywords that apply to your topic. It will just be by
accident that you actually make some money if you do not do keyword
research beforehand. Why? Because you have to comprehend what people
are searching for and configure your copy accordingly to get the search
engines like Google and Yahoo! to pay
attention to what you have to say. If the search engines won’t send
visitors to your website, it will be much more challenging for you to
make any income.

The way I prefer to
make money is to make Website pages that have text and/or
banner advertising, like AdSense, or links to affiliate
applications that give you commissions if people buys goods by means of
hyperlinks with your affiliate code. If you get a lot of visitors to
visit these Webpages and youâ??ve done good keyword research, writing on
the Internet can make you an income for quite a few years to come — with
no clients. I will not try to pull the wool over your eyes, it does take
some work and experience to establish consistent passive income from
writing. And yet, it is absolutely achievable. I know because I’ve done it!
